My research interests include sustainable chemistry for energy and environment. The research goal is primarily directed towards utilizing solar light or electricity generated from renewable sources for a clean "environment and energy conversion". Smart functional catalysts are synthesized via chemical and physical routes. The prepared catalysts or modified catalysts are employed in various applications such as CO2 reduction, self-cleaning coating, water splitting, methanol oxidation, hydrazine oxidation, etc. In-situ characterization and identification of the reaction intermediates, particularly for CO2 reduction are aimed to understand its mechanism.
