The research interests at the NR Lab for Sustainable Energy Conversion and Environmental Remediation include synthesis and characterization of the functional nanostructured materials and their cutting-edge applications in electrochemical, photochemical and chemical energy conversion applications. The research goal is primarily directed towards utilizing solar light or electricity generated from renewable sources for a clean "environment and sustainable future". A few selective application but not limited to are CO2 capture and conversion, nitrate pollution control and detection, Fenton and Electro-Fenton reactions, H2O2 generation, and detection of reactive species in photo- and electrochemical reactions.
